Michael Schroeder is an associate attorney at Kamykowski, Gavin & Smith, P.C. He represents individuals and corporations in personal injury cases, focusing on defending claims of medical negligence. Michael also represents business owners and other clients in general commercial and civil litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes. He has significant litigation experience in all aspects of discovery, depositions, motion practice, and both fact and expert witness preparation. Michael also has trial and arbitration experience in state court and through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Prior to joining KGS, Michael worked for a large firm in St. Louis where he represented businesses, both small and large, on a variety of general civil and commercial litigation matters. His experience includes defending a large oil company in state and federal court against claims involving contract disputes and violations of the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act. He also has significant experience representing employers in disputes involving covenants not to compete, non-solicitation agreements, trade secret violations, and claims for breach of fiduciary duty and unfair competition. In addition, Michael was the Prosecuting Attorney for a municipality in St. Louis County for two years.
Before entering law school, Michael was a police officer for 11 years in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
